One day…

Just remember... We are one more day closer to getting our novel complete. We are one more day closer to publishing. We are one more day closer to becoming someone's favorite author. We can do this.

For all writers:

Attention all writers! Just as a reminder: a rest day is sometimes needed. You've worked a bunch lately and have accomplished a lot even if you can't tell. Take some the time to rest and rejuvenate. You deserve it.

A congratulations for all

Congratulations! Whether you wrote 50,000 words or even 5,000 this NaNoWriMo season, you're a great writer. The best people push themselves further and that's exactly what NaNoWriMo helps with. I completed NaNoWriMo myself about one day and four hours before this post published. For the first time ever, I also completed NaNoWriMo before the last … Continue reading A congratulations for all

Stuck in NaNoWriMo

It's easy to get stuck during NaNoWriMo. After writing 31,673 words in 19 days or even 5,000 words in a few days, what else could I write about? The story has a plot, but there's no clear path of where the story is going. I've gotten to this point many times during this NaNoWriMo. Before … Continue reading Stuck in NaNoWriMo

NaNoWriMo Update!

We're a bit over halfway through National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) right now. No matter how many words you've written, remember that you're an amazing writer and have accomplished something. I'm proud of what you've done so far. You've done an awesome job! For me? I'm at 25,099 words. I still got a long way … Continue reading NaNoWriMo Update!

Bad book reviews

I don't want to trash a work of art that I know the writer spent years on. I don't want to act as if … Continue reading Bad book reviews

But NaNoWriMo can be discouraging. … Continue reading NaNoWriMo writers, good luck

Waiting forever

After writers send their work out to be critiqued, it can feel as if forever stands in front of them. Time has stopped. Even as life goes by, nothing happens. They wait, filled with butterflies. Days and months and years all feel like lifetimes. Perhaps it's because they're nervous. They sent their work - their … Continue reading Waiting forever

Writing breaks

Overworking is easy for a writer. Writers are constantly thinking of poetic lines and/or story developments. After a while, our stories get mixed up and everything written comes out forced. But is it even possible for a writer to take a break? Kind of. We can psychically stop writing. We can pause and stop ourselves … Continue reading Writing breaks
