I’m here because I’m here
because I’m here
because there’s a rhythm to it
My hands already know the beat
My feet already know the path
My body moves before my mind
I’m here because I’m here
because I’m here
because my body says so
But I’m not sure why I walk this path
I don’t recognize the road signs anymore,
but my body takes another left turn
I’m here because I’m here
because I’m here
because the pattern drives me
It’s not hard to resist
to live life like I put the car in neutral
through a car wash
Except the car wash is actually
an enchanted forest designed like a fun house
that doesn’t know when to end
I don’t remember the beginning, the way out,
but I can take a step to the right and another
and turn around and try to find my way out

I think I am here too, Robin … although some days I wonder whether I am there or here …
