Time for a NaNoWriMo update!
For the most part, everything has been about the same. I’ve gotten a lot of words out by switching it up. If I don’t feel inspiration for one project, I flip over to the next. I guess there is a perk to working on multiple projects at once.
I still haven’t named all my characters yet for the trilogy, though I have named some of them. I just need to name the main characters. Right now, I’m still using placeholders for them.
I also haven’t worked as much on Free as I had wanted. I ended up with not enough time. So, now my plan is to work on it over the next week. Hopefully, I can get some more done.
I did participate in my first ever sprints with some fellow writers over Discord. (Sprints are where we have ten or fifteen minutes to write as much as we can.) With some gaming music on in the background, I did get a lot of my writing done that way. They were fun to take part in.
WORDS: 32,384
PERCENTAGE THROUGH: 64.76%

I did NaNoWriMo back in 2003 and succeeded. I’ve not attempted to compete in it in the years since, but the experience eventually inspired me to set writing quotas for me to try and increase my writing productivity. I’m on the verge of completing 200,000 words written this year and NaNoWriMo was a big inspiration for me.
