It’s already so close to November! It seems as if time has sprinted by this year. And NaNoWriMo—National Novel Writing Month—has skidded around the corner, getting ready.
(If you don’t know what that is, here’s a link to an explanation. It’s probably the writing community’s most productive time of the year.)
This is your reminder to start brainstorming and getting ideas for your project!
For me, I’ve been debating between two projects.
One is to rewrite a novel I wrote in high school. I haven’t visited that project since high school, but I remember it being this living in video games mixed with philosophy. I’m not sure where the philosophy part came from since I hadn’t taken or studied much of it before that point. But I remember really enjoying that project.
The second idea is a brand-new idea that has been swirling in my head for a few months now. It’s a duel POV focused on a hero-in-training and a character who hides her true self—even from the readers—for most of the series. The only problem with this one is that it’s already a trilogy. The third part is actually more vivid to me than the first two. I hadn’t dealt with that before, so I’m not sure how I’ll tackle it.
I’ll be giving updates every week like last year and the year before.
Happy writing! And a good pre-luck to everyone participating!
Have a wonderful November of writing! I won’t be participating officially, but I’ll be writing. Whichever project you go with, have a grand old time.
