Wonder
brings the paths together
or at least stretches it away
from Life’s demanding chains
Curious
at the possibilities
that run through dreams
instead of on the earth
Searching
for a hint of what
five-year-old me asked for
and saying yes

Wordsworth remarks that “shades of the prison house begin to close around the growing boy”, by which I think he meant that as we grow towards adulthood we start to lose the sense of childhood wonder you capture so well in your poem. Best wishes. Kevin
