Time for another NaNoWriMo update!
I’m still on track so far! I usually end the night about 300 or 600 words above where I need to be. But a headache made it hard to concentrate yesterday, so I’m only a handful of words ahead now.
I found more of the plot this past week. Instead of a big battle or anything large scale, this story is smaller plot wise. It reminds me of a post I saw on Pinterest once that said something along the lines of: sometimes the only person in the world you save is yourself, and that’s okay.
As I pieced everything together, I realized I was missing more of the middle than anything. I wrote the beginning and some of the ending last week, so I focused more on bridging the story together.
I’ve also shown or made references to a lot of fantasy creatures, which was fun. In my main WIP, I only have a handful of creatures, but in this world, I’ve branched out almost as much as possible.
I like where this rewrite is heading.
