How my blog began

My blog began years ago, back around 2017. I started it to build a writing platform and to have a better shot at traditional publishing.

TWO PIECES OF ADVICE FOR NEW BLOGGERS

Reach out to other bloggers. The blogging community is very supportive. I’ve had tons of positive comments and consider some bloggers my internet friends. If you ever need help, there are people out there to help you. A good way to start is to follow other bloggers and react to their posts.

Don’t overcrowd the website. Readers love eye appealing things to read. Overcrowding a website with ads, tags, pictures, etc. could turn someone off from reading your content.

I actually have two more pieces of advice here.

My nominees are anyone reading this post with a blog. Many bloggers get accidentally overlooked and may feel discouraged. But take it from someone who has been blogging for years, it’s hard to maintain a blog. It takes a lot of time. So, I want to reach out and say that you are appreciated. You are amazing.
