Inside and Out Book Tag

I saw this one over on Secret Library Book Blog and thought it’d be fun to do. Enjoy!

Inside flap/Back of the book summaries: Too much info Or not enough?

Most of them are enough. I like knowing a basic plot of what to expect before diving into a story unless it’s from an author I already love.

New book: What form do you want it in? Be honest: Audiobook, E-Book, Paperback, or Hard cover?

Most of my library is paperback and hardcover, but paperback is my favorite.

However, if I have a series already in hardcover, I like to keep that series in hardcover so they match. I’m a bit of a stickler about that.

Scribble while you read? Do you like to write in your books, take notes, make comments, or do you keep your books clean clean clean?

I hate writing in books. When a couple of my teachers forced me to, I used sticky notes to not hurt the book.

Does it matter to you whether the author is male or female when you’re deciding on a book? What if you’re unsure of the author’s gender?

Gender doesn’t matter to me. If it’s a new author, I usually don’t even look at the name long enough to remember it. I look at the cover to get a sense of the genre, but the blurbs on the back (or inside flaps) are usually what sells me.

And if anyone asks, gender should never matter when buying a book.

Ever read ahead? or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?

Yep! I’ve done this many times. I don’t read the last page, but I’ll read part of one about a hundred pages ahead.

I don’t care about being spoiled. It’s more about the journey than the ending.

Organized bookshelves or outrageous bookshelves?

I organize my books in ABC order from right to left.

Have you ever bought a book based on the cover (alone)?

Nope. I’ve taken interest in books before because of their cover, but I never bought one based on the cover.

Take the book outside to read or stay in?

Stay in. The sun never works with me if I try to take my book outside.
