I started late this year. I wasn’t able to start NaNoWriMo until last Thursday, which is unusual for me. But I had some stuff come up, so I got a tad behind. Luckily, I’m not five days behind as I was on that Thursday. Now, I’m only about two to three days behind. I can definitely catch up. I plan on getting some extra words written this weekend before I start another project for school.
I’m doing a story I’ve done before but with a different take. My most common struggle is the beginning of stories. I’ve often displeased others with them. So, I’m starting about fifty pages into my book and centering it more around a different character.
So far, because of that, I’ve had to change the story up. I took out an ambush scene. I also tried to put more emphasis on the different voices between the three POVs. I ended up changing how one section usually goes entirely, so I’m writing in a new territory now. I can say that I enjoy the dialogue more this time around.
