It’s not your fault
that your mind twists you away from the truth.
I wish the world was fairer.
But at the same time,
please understand that I cannot drown with you.
I have to take care of my own mind

Robin, these are words that were personally true for me 11 years ago. I chose to swim away and not look back.

I can so relate to this. I had to let someone go who was very negative- someone I loved. But I had to finally put myself first. A decade later, I’m so happy I did but at the time, it was the hardest thing I had ever done.
