After every concert I go to, I notice more how artists are all different—unique—even if they play the same songs.
For example, no one ever sings “Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay” the same way. They all put their own twists and spins on it. If you don’t believe me, try it. Click on the title. Each word has a link to a different artist singing that same song. From normal rock artists to hip hop artists and more, they all made the song their story.
Writers are artists too. We can all tell the same story and still be exclusive.
So, in that way, we’ll never run out of stories to tell.

I read somewhere that writers tell the same six (I think) basic stories over and over, but each put their own unique spin on it. Don’t know about just six, but I know what you mean.

I heard something like that in college.
It was either six or eight. I don’t remember what kinds of stories were listed though.

Profound insight. How different writers treat the same prompt is testimony.
