To writers who believe they are slow learners or that they are behind

One of my YouTubers said something the other day that I wanted to share with all of you.

Her name is Lucrezia, and she runs a YouTube channel called Learn Italian with Lucrezia. She was talking about how some people feel that it’s hard to start speaking a foreign language. Some may learn how to one way, but others can’t learn off that same method.

She said, “Noi acquisisce o impara una lingua in modo diverso e quindi i tempi sono diversi per ognuno di noi.”

Which translates to: “We acquire and learn a language in different ways, so the times are different for each of us.”

But that’s the same with learning how to master the writing craft as well. No one writes the same way. I can teach my methods, but that won’t help every writer grow the same way at the same time.

If it takes you longer (or what feels like longer) to reach where you want to get with your writing, that’s okay. We’re not meant to be the same writer, so we’re all going to take different paths. One day, you’ll bloom into the wonderful writer you were always meant to be.

It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to get there. Just the fact that you get there is worth it.

The whole video Lucrezia makes is great. If you want to watch it, click the link here. It has English translations for English speakers.

  1. Love the message that this post holds! It is very important to remember that we are all unique and like you said, we will get to where we want to be with our writing in our own time ✨ Great post! šŸ’•
