Welcome back!
The third full week of NaNoWriMo has passed! I almost don’t believe that it’s the end of November. I keep thinking that Thanksgiving is coming up but believing that it’s still like two to three weeks away.
NaNoWriMo has been easier again since my work flow (from that paying job) started going down. As a reminder, I’ve been rewriting my first novel this November. I noticed that I’ve changed certain major aspects from my original novel, including:
- Adding more depth
- Introducing topics later since certain scenes changed
The beginning stayed the same for the most part. But since I’m in 1st person POV, I’ve been diving into character’s thoughts more. It’s more personal now. Even though it’s multi POV as well, each character has their own distinct personalty, which has been fun to explore.
But my novel, who was already an onion, feels like it’s becoming a bigger onion. Or maybe it’s now something delicious that has layers like lasagna. Time will tell.
(My original unofficial goal was to get about 75% through rewriting my first novel. If we’re saying
- pages, I’m 31% through.
- word count, I’m 49% through.
- chapters, I’m 28% through.
So… Getting there.)
Though, I did pass 40,000 words yesterday. So, I must be getting somewhere.
Words: 52,248
Percentage through: 104%
