20 Questions Book Tag

Hey everyone!

Since the last book tag went well, I decided to do another! I found this one on abooknation‘s blog, and it seems fun and unique. So, here we go!

1. How many books are too many in a series?

Depends on the series.

For example, The Mortal Instruments was well written and I’ve read all of them with the pre-series, spinoffs, etc. The main series together was about six books. But for the Witch & Wizard series, I got bored during book three. It kept going on when I thought the story had already ended.

2. How do you feel about cliffhanger endings?

As long as the next book comes out soon or is already out, I think I’ll be okay.

I deal with them all the time, so I’m more used to them now. But I’d rather know the answer ASAP.

3. Hardback or paperback?

Paperback for life. But if you give me a hardback, it’s fine.

4. Favorite book?

Not sure that’s possible. About ten came to mind in seconds.

I have a list of books that I love and that have made a big impact on me here though!

5.  Least favorite book?

Almost every English textbook honestly. I love to read, but not when I’m forced to read.

6. Love triangles : yes or no?

No. Nope. That’s not what I read books for.

7. The most recent book you couldn’t finish?

You see, I’m stubborn. Even if I don’t like your book, I’ll finish it. At the bare minimum, I’ll skim the pages. I’m not sure when the last time was that I didn’t finish a book. Or if I ever have.

8. A book you’re currently reading?

I just finished Let’s Talk about Love and Aurora Rising. I’m reading Crazy Rich Asians right now.

9. Last book you recommended?

10. Oldest book you’ve read?

I have everyone beat. The Epic of Gilgamesh is the oldest book ever written, and I’ve read it. It was written in 2100 B.C.

Fun fact: I saw one of the tablets the book was written on this summer at the British Museum.

11. Newest book you’ve read?

Yep.

12. Favorite author?

Yep. See! Can’t have just one.

13. Buying books or borrowing?

I like buying book, because if I like the book, I’ll want to keep it.

14. A book that you disliked that everyone seems to love?

There are a lot of books like that. Most books that were written before the 20th century, I’m not a big fan of. Any big romance books.

15. Bookmarks or dog ears?

Dog ears are a sin. (Just kidding, but it does hurt the book.)

Continue.

16. A book that you always reread?

I don’t reread books. I’ve only done it once just to do it when I was a kid, but I didn’t like it that much.

Even when I had to read Hamlet for like the fifth time, I was done and just read summaries online. I don’t like reading things twice.

17. Can you read while listening to music?

Barely… It’s hard for me to read with any sound at all. (Especially if it’s an unfamiliar sound or a song I’m super passionate about at the moment.) Most of the time, I gotta have background noise or nothing at all. I prefer nothing; it helps.

18. One POV or multiple POVs?

If it’s written well, I don’t have a preference.

19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

I have so much work to do that I have to read a book over multiple days.

20. Who do you tag?

If you wanna be tagged, there you go. Tag! You’re it.

  1. This is such a fun tag ❤ I completely agree with you about dog-eared books… there are just some things you don't do! Also your comment on disliking books for English that you're forced to read. I've actually read some of my old English books again and enjoyed them the second time when I wasn't forced to read them 😛 Thanks for sharing!
