The writing world can feel disconnected. We sit in a room and edit by ourselves, wishing for the best. But we can’t get our stories out there if we don’t have at least a few more conversations than that.
One of the best ways I’ve found to connect with other writers is through Facebook groups. In these groups, there are days to self-promote, ask for writing advice, or just complain about writing issues. Everyone is there to help another whether it’s for poems, short stories, novels, nonfiction, and more. Even if you’re not active all the time, just seeing them come up on my feed and responding every once in a while helps.
Some groups I find beneficial are:
- Authors’ Tale
- BetaReader Connect
- Creative Writers
- I Am A Writer with Sarah Werner
- Ninja Writers
- Safe Space For Authors
- Scribble Mavens
- The Witchy Writer
Do you use Facebook groups to connect to other writers? Are there any groups you like that I left out? Leave a comment below!
