As writers, we don’t hear what we need to hear as often as we should. So, I will tell you.
It’s amazing that you have a story idea. You sat down to write today? Great job! You wrote a beautiful sentence? You go you! Wrote a paragraph? Fantastic! Wrote a page? Awesome! Wrote a chapter? Amazing! Finished a rough draft of your novel? That’s fantastically amazing and wonderful.
Writers need to praise the small accomplishments sometimes. Every step is a step toward the finish line. You’re getting closer to your goal. You can do it.
