Even though it may seem so, you’re not alone when you write a query letter. Below are some websites to help you write the best query.
- Query Shark is a website written by a literary agent. She goes through hundreds of query letter examples to demonstrate how to write and edit a query letter. She also has some great examples of queries that work.
- Query Connect is a forum about query letters. Writers, from all over, come together to edit other queries. It’s a great resource to get opinions of your query. This site has been the best resource for my query.
- Critique Circle is mostly for writers critiquing other writer’s stories, but there is a forum on there for query letters. From experience, I don’t get as many critiques from here as I do on Query Connect, but there are some helpful critics.
- Nicholas Sparks has an example of his successful query letter online.
